Happy New Year!

Most of us have made a New Year’s resolutions at some point in our life.  I think resolutions can sometimes help us create a focus so that we can finish what we start….So shouldn’t our resolutions just be to finish what we start?

The Literacy Center won’t make a list of resolutions but what we will do, is to resolve to finish what we start.

The Literacy Center was started back in 1966 by a group of volunteers from the YWCA; they commenced to offer assistance to adults who struggled with reading.  This is still our main focus today; though, the world is changing and now there are many forms of literacy including financial, health, and technology. We can help adults improve their skills by balancing a checkbook, reading nutritional labels or utilizing a tablet. The Literacy Center is here to help improve the quality of life for each adult who sets a goal to learn.   We can help with your goals or resolutions to learn, to grow and to improve.

Help us finish what we started; refer a friend, a family member or an acquaintance to our program. It is a great time to get started as we are starting a Quality Student Program (QSP), our students will earn rewards be seeking more education within all forms of literacy as well as within our community The QSP program will encourage learning and finishing what you start.  We can help any adult over 18 years of age.  We can help change a life through literacy, refer today.
